A stone's throw from the lake

The "L'Ulif” farm is located in Picedo di Polpenazze, on the west side of Lake Garda, in an area with a great tourist vocation.

Extending from south to west between the municipalities of Desenzano and Salò, near the morainic hilly amphitheatre, the area that houses it is called Valténesi. It is an area characterized by a unique microclimate, influenced by the largest Italian water basin.

Here viticulture has very ancient origins, dating back to the Etruscan period. Valténesi is to all intents and purposes the elective homeland of Groppello, a native vine cultivated in the area before the discovery of America. Today there are no more than 400 hectares in the world, present exclusively in this area, making it a rare and precious heritage as well as representative of the winemaking identity of the area.
